Epifanía

El otro día, mirando Outlander, me di cuenta de:

gendarme = gens d'arme = personas de armas

MIND. BLOWN.

Y otro, del que supe ya hace un tiempo:

edecán = aide de camp = ayudante de campo

ESG: My favourite picture(s) of the month April

¡Hola!
April's been a very busy month for me (thank you, college), so I haven't been taking a lot of pictures.
Still, all the main subjects of every month have been covered: dolls and cats.
At the beginning of the month I had a dolly meet with my friend Bella. The pictures below are from that morning.

From left to right: Chloe (unboxed, Eliana's), Sibila (Bella's), Maud (mine), Isobel (E's), Matilda (B's), Robin (mine), Zoe, Merida, Oda (B's) and Madeline (mine)
Our friend Eliana was present through her dolls, but not in flesh and bone.

April was rainy as f*. It rained for days and days. In one of those few moments when it stopped, I took these pictures below.

Weird things  grow on this stem when it rains. They don't last long

And, last but not least, cat pictures! The cat of the month was Perla, she likes hanging out on my window.

ESG: Travel Quiz

¡Hola!

1. How many countries have you been to?
Other than my own, I've been in Brazil, Italy, France, England and Spain.

2. Have you travelled somewhere this year?
Nope :(

3. Do you have any travel plans for the rest of the year?
I would like to visit a friend of mine in Viedma, or my relatives in Metán, BUT that would depend on my budget, which is not very hopeful lol

4. Do you like travelling in your own country? What is your favourite place to visit?
I LOVE travelling in Argentina, it's so full of wonders! I prefer going to the west, to the Andes, or anywhere that isn't too flat (Buenos Aires is SO flat, I like to see some height differences, for a change)

5. Have you ever travelled alone? If so, did you enjoy it? If not, would you like to?
I haven't yet, but I'd love to. Maybe if I have the chance to go to Viedma...

6. Have you ever stayed in a hostel?
Just once, when we spent one night at Córdoba, coming back from Metán, with my family.

7. Do you have a travel bucket list?
Yes, an ever growing one.

8. If money wasn’t a problem, which places would you visit on a trip around the world?
I would like start with the countries closer to me, like Chile or Uruguay (shame on me, they're so close!). I think I'd like to visit ALL EUROPE, but I'd spend long stays at Spain, Italy, France and the UK, visiting as many regions as possible. I'd like to visit Canada, too.

9. Do you prefer to visit very touristy destinations or places that aren’t that crowded with tourists?
Although I feel better in quiet places than surrounded by crowds, there are some touristy destinations I just couldn't avoid. So, both?

10. Do you like trying new foods while travelling?
Sure, as I long as I know which are the ingredients :B

11. Have you ever been on a cruise?
Nope

12. Do you enjoy visitng UNESCO world heritage destinations?
Well, I had to google that. And, apparently, I've been in a few of those, so I can say yes, I enjoy doing that.
These are the places I've been (here is the whole list, in case you want to check it out -you might have visited one and don't know!):
13. Do you collect souvenirs from your travels, for example magnets, postcards, t-shirts?
I like buying postcards, maps and brochures or books from the museums I visited.

14. Do you read travel blogs? Or do you write a travel blog yourself?
I don't and nope.

15. What is your favourite place of those where you’ve been? This can be a country, city, beach… etc.
Ahhhhh this is so frustrating, each place is unique and my favourite for so many reasons. Let's just say that Rome, with its Ancient Rome ruins, was breathtaking and mind blowing for a history nerd such as me.
